New Outfits: Book Signing
Calla Henkel & Max Pitegoff
Sunday June 5, 6-9
Cleopatra’s
This place gets massive points in my book for not batting an eye when I brought in a white cashmere sweater that was completely splattered with blood. I was amazed by the owner’s care and knowledge of how to take care of a garment. He not only understands the differences between fabrics and their different blends and weights, but labels and their actual garment construction. Sold. He will chat you up: "Do you sweat a lot in this coat?" "Do you wear cologne when you have this on?" "The reason why I will clean it this way is . . ." I feel comfortable taking silk items to them without fear of their being boiled -- I'm looking at you, J Rafa, since you destroyed my Tracey Reese dress.
